Project documentation for building of metal revetment walls of new generation has been worked out by industrial holding company «Gidromontazh» Pilot plant" for the winter Olympic Games-2014 objects.

«Gidromontazh» plant in cooperation with the leading research organisations developes new types of Metal Corrugated Consructions (MCC), offering the customer more perfect, and, at the same time, more efficient constructions. The plant manufactures corrugated sheet measuring 152  34 mm, which allows to reduce the expenses on purchase of contructions for low embankment pipes by 5-7%. Other economy-type corrugated sheet measuring 20055 mm reduces metal consumption

by 4-5% in comparison with corrugated sheet measuring 152  51 mm by the improvement of geometrical characteristics and reduction of bolts quantity. The quality of galvanized steel elements is guaranteed by the organisation standard STO 33027391 -2009, the wall construction is carried out according to plant technical regulations (TR-9). The construction meets the requirements of Russian and European normative documents in the field of building. Before the commercial production output, the construction has undergone full-scale tests for exposure of heavy temporary automobile and railway loadings. Tests have shown full correspondence of actual and rated characteristics, that allows to guarantee strength and stability at different loadings and soil conditions.

New technical decision appeared to be more efficient than traditional with use of concrete and ferroconcrete constructions. Fully finished elements, small weight, the reduction of transport expenses have led to decrease in capital costs for building (see the comparison table).

Project documentation for building of metal revetment walls has been worked out for the winter Olympic Games objects, namely for sports-tourist complex «Gornaya Karusel», for access road from Esto-Sadok village to the complex of ski jump -1 25, -95 and for internal Olympic media-village roads on the altitude mark of +960 metres. The wall design allows to follow the landscape easily in any dimension, it easily enters modern urbanised building, and if necessary allows the architect to apply any kind of finishing materials. Rated operating life — 70-100 years. Repair work at the operating stage is not needed. «Gidromontazh» plant walls broaden the spectrum of MCC use, as they can be applied not only as independent constructions, but also in a complex with bridge constructions for templets, abutments, coast-protecting constructions, regulation constructions. In comparison with the most widespread ferroconcrete construction, the MCC wall is cheaper in 1,5-2,5 times, building labour input makes 40-60% from ferro-concrete wall. The period of installation of 100 metres length and 6-7 metres height wall is much shorter — 8-10 days. Heavy building equipment is not required. The maximum weight of an element does not exceed 40 kg. Full MCC product mix will allow the customer to make the unified technological decision on road starting complexes, engineering city constructions and industrial objects infrastructure. Holding company experts will assist in choosing of constructions, designing of objects, installation, technical supervision of building.
