I don't think so. Different Games were planned and held in different ways. Therefore, all of them have different heritage. There were the Games, which did not reach the potentially expected effect.
What mistakes, made by other countries, it is necessary to avoid, in your opinion?
First of all, planning and building of objects and infrastructure, which prospects of use after the Games are not defined clearly. Sometimes, after the Olympic Games, sports objects are not used fully, the expenses for their service cannot be covered by the income of their activity.
And the examples of well organized Games?
From the point of view of a successful heritage there are, for example, summer Games in Barcelona. Till 1992 the city was known as industrial, business centre, and now it is the centre of tourism. The example of high organizational level of preparation and carrying out of the Games are summer Games in Beijing in 2008. At the moment of voting in Guatemala, Sochi have not implemented yet its development potential fully. Therefore, carrying out of XXII winter Games, on the one hand, will demand doing big volume of preparation works in short terms much bigger, than others did.
The Games in Sochi are preceded by the Games in Vancouver in February, 2010, and also the Games in London, planned for 2012. Do your think these cities are insured from mentioned mistakes?
Time will show. But it is known, that Vancouver and London seriously think about the effect of the Games and their heritage. The important feature of the Games in Vancouver is the desire for environment preservation.In London there was chosen industrial stagnating area. It will be transformed into the largest Olympic park in Europe.

The true remark. Crisis teaches everybody to estimate critically the efficiency of his own work and to plan resources more carefully. It has concerned both business, and the state. Obviously, preparation for the Games is one of stimulus for both parties to develop effective models
Now the state share of means is dominating in the Olympic budget. For example, the company «Basovy element» of Oleg Deripaska. If Vhesheconombank hadn't open the lines of credit, it is not known, would the airport in Sochi and cargo port in Imeretinka be under construction today.
The state sometimes supports certain projects. It is obvious, that it occurs in course of preparation for the Olympic Games. When crisis began, the situation development was very uncertain, many potential investors have suffered too. Besides, regardless to crisis, many investors could not see the situation and obvious benefits of the participation in the project clearly. Joining of private investors to the Olympic building shows now, that teamwork of organizers of the Games and business leads to formation of more attractive prospect for investments into the project.
For the last years actions of the Russian power became more pragmatic. The Olympic Games are too big price for satisfaction of ambitions. I think, there is equal understanding at all power levels, that, besides the advancement of Olympic values, the Games in Sochi will be directed to the achievement of social and economic effect, and also promote the city and region development.
