The Olympic Games are always a great boost not only for sports achievements but also for the mass sports in the country, where they are held. I’m sure that the same will happen to Russia.

The popularity of sports is constantly increasing here owing to our sportsmen’s victories in international competitions as well as to the fact that our state leaders are sports lovers. They advocate and propagate a healthy sports lifestyle. The Olympic Games are of great importance for Russia in many respects. It will promote our power’s authority, will help solve social problems, attract young people to sports. I think that trying to achieve the goal called «Sochi-2014», we’ll make much more achievements, and as a result the whole country and every Russian citizen will be the gainer.

But it is not only the quality organization that is important. All the arrangements concerning the Olympic Games must be public. The more publications dedicated to sports, the better. But this rule works only in case the publication is made up in a talented and professional manner. That’s why in first place I wish success to the debutant magazine.

I am personally interested very much in the success of «Olympic Reporter»: it will be much devoted to the realization of our national and at the same time world project called «Sochi-2014». The creators of the new magazine will surely need such a sports trait of character as the will to victory. I wish «The Herald» to have victorious spirit and permanent inspiration!
